The Original Sin: Spiritual Ignorance (TBC)

The Original Sin: Spiritual Ignorance (TBC)

Am not even talking about self-reaslisation or enlightenment or knowing God or something wish-washy here. Am talking at a more simple and elementary level.

Spiritual ignorance is the root cause of much of the suffering in the world. While nature has its own course, encompassing realities like aging, disease, and death, humans inflict considerable suffering upon themselves and others. This human-inflicted suffering stems from a fundamental spiritual ignorance.

But what exactly constitutes spiritual ignorance? At its core, it is the inability to answer the question, “Who am I?” in the most existential sense. What do I want, really, really want? It is a lack of understanding of our deeper selves, our true desires, and what is genuinely beneficial for oneself. What makes me me? How do the worldly of interactions affect, interact and may work on me. What has God got to do with all this? Am I interested in God for Gods sake or my sake? Understanding the knowledge of all this is spiritual knowledge.

The spiritual ignorance is so manifest in todays world that actually it is dangerous.
